Shyla Allard is an enthusiastic and energizing Executive Coach and Consultant who works hard to make a positive shaping influence in her client’s careers and lives. With more than twenty years of experience in the corporate world working in both large and small, private and public companies, Shyla brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to each client engagement. She has been recognized as a superior leader and manager of employees and has experience in building and shaping the development of many individuals throughout her career. Shyla joined SIMA® International after seeing how her own Motivated Abilities Pattern helped her in career and decision making, and then observing how the SIMA® MAP is used to significantly maximize employee motivation, job-fit, development and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to joining SIMA® International, Shyla worked successfully in sales support for Hewlett-Packard, in product management at a wireless technology start-up company and in a variety of marketing and management roles at Datacard Group in Minnetonka, Minnesota. During her time at Hewlett-Packard, Shyla was selected as one of six “Outstanding Contributors” in her particular division and was also chosen to be in the “HP Leadership Effectiveness and Development Program” for the top 1% of performers in the company. At Datacard, Shyla was given an “Outstanding Contributor” award and was selected to participate in the “Datacard Leadership Development Pool” for high potential leaders.
Although Shyla provides executive coaching services to a variety of clients, she specializes in helping those who are emerging leaders or seeking to begin a new position with high impact and effectiveness. This is typically delivered in a customized package of services that include a SIMA® Motivated Abilities Pattern assessment, an action plan for being an effective leader, a personal development plan, and supporting coaching sessions. She has found companies who invest in these services for their leaders will find a much higher degree of success and results both for the individual and for the organization.
In addition to her career, Shyla is an active teacher at her church and sits on the Board of Directors at New Life Family Services (a pregnancy care center). She has been married to her husband, Todd, for over 20 years and they have two sons.
